Priority in Government - Consciousness in society' is the theme of the 9th SETE Conference 'Tourism and Development' to be held in Athens on Monday, October 18th 2010 (Hotel Grande Bretagne) and Tuesday, October 19th 2010 (The Westin Athens Astir Palace Beach Resort, Vouliagmeni).
From the first romantic approach to the tourism by a majority of Greeks, now the whole society recognizes that tourism is an important economic and social phenomenon..
In other words, the challenge is the effective integration of tourism development on the absolute priorities of the Government. The data gathered by the tourism as economy sector: openness, abundant raw material, quick returns and spread across the country, especially at work, make it the most appropriate agent for effective reversal of the negative performance in economic and social level.
Speakers at the conference will be representatives of the Government and Opposition, media representatives, banks, academics and businessmen inside and outside the tourism industry.
The 'Tourism and Development' Conference are standard measures of SETE public debate on tourism and appeal to investors, entrepreneurs, senior executives and government officials who wish to have an active role in shaping future for tourism development in the country.
