Mwra sti FotiaOn Sunday, August 22nd at 21:00 open-air Cinema Kamari will host the greek rock band 'Mora sti Fotia' (Babies in Fire) live.

One of the most historic and most influential bands to come from the 80s, "Mora sti Fotia" (Babies in Fire) remain faithful for 20 years  to authentic rock sound of their own identity which connects the funk to punk, to jazz by the rock nroll all with the unique, social, Greek verse. Through three albums in the presence ("Mora sti Fotia"1987, ''Theatrinoi''1999,''Sto dromo''2005) have offered the public through a tough and consistent way, songs like "Pavsipono", "Manifesto'', "Third Uncle'' and many others. Songs - reference point, both to the public and to new bands and creators. Special sense caused the since 1988 musical setting by Stelios Salvador of great Greek poets such as O. Elytis, G. Seferis, and K. Karyotakis, proving that poetry and Rock Sound can live together creatively.

The composer, lyricist and singer of Stelios "Salvador" Papaioannou, introduced a new way of writing both lyrically, synthetics, and interpretation of the radical and innovative style of play, opening new horizons whenever the domestic music. Their live performances are always an explosive and powerful blend of imaginative music, lyrics inspired by the most profound thoughts of us, and stage presence full of intensity and immediacy.

All these years of course presented in live performances with the renewed strength of new "Mora sti Fotia'' that consists of:

  • Giannis Savvides: Guitar
  • Makis Georgakakis: bass
  • Fotis Tsakiridis: drums
  • Menelaus Karagiannis: trombone
  • Christos Emexezidis: trumpet and
  • Eugenios Tsaridi at audio console
